There is scientific dissent from Darwinism which deserves to be considered. This 20-page list of Ph.D. scientists includes some from the US National Academy of Sciences, the Russian, Hungarian and Czech National Academies, as well as from universities such as Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and others. The signees have endorsed the following statement: “We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged.”

There is credible scientific skepticism of anthropogenic global warming which deserves to be considered. As of January 2011, at least 850 peer-reviewed papers supporting such skepticism have been published in scholarly journals. This 880-page report is the most comprehensive critique of the United Nations IPCC's positions ever published. The report represents the work of 35 contributors and reviewers from 14 countries. An appendix lists the names of 31,478 American scientists who have signed a petition stating that "there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate." Dr. Roy W. Spencer serves as the leader of the U.S. Science Team working with the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer carried by NASA’s [the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s] Aqua satellite. While working as a Senior Scientist for Climate Studies at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, he and his colleague Dr. John Christy were co-recipients of NASA’s Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal in recognition of their work with satellite-monitoring of global temperatures. Dr. Spencer’s recent research has found that “feedbacks previously estimated from satellite observations of natural climate variability have potentially large errors.” (Notice the word “estimated,” which is not synonymous with “measured.”) He argues that a careful and appropriate interpretation of the best satellite observations suggests that the climate system is insensitive (rather than sensitive), thus implying that carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere via anthropogenic activities is insufficient to cause the warming which has occurred over the past 100 years; hence, a natural mechanism must somehow be involved.
